I have a heartbreaking story. Last week the Feeding America truck was in my town. It was going to serve 2 counties, Delta and Menominee. The line of cars to use the mobile food pantry was miles and miles long. It locked up the highway for 3 hours. Police officers had to direct traffic. They ran out of food halfway though the line. That means half of the people didn’t get anything to eat. I’d guess there was about 1000 cars. It was just heart wrenching!! And yes, I saw it first hand and it’s absolutely true. People are going hungry, here and all over Michigan and it’s not right!!! The food banks are mostly out of food up here (in the UP). This should not be happening in America!!! We desperately need help!!!
