If you own a reasonable entry-level camera (SLR or DSLR) and have a one man show t shirt /or an internet connection, then I believe that you can teach yourself the basics of photography – and how to use your camera properly – in a weekend.I know so many people who buy expensive cameras, thinking they will automatically get great photos – but then just leave it on auto settings and can’t understand why their photos don’t turn out great.I’m not saying that you could be the next Ansel Adams or Annie Liebovitz in a weekend (photography is 20% technical understanding, 30% having a good eye for a shot and 50% lucky timing!) but you could certainly learn enough to get the most from your camera and make sure you get properly exposed photographs of family events etc that aren’t always blurred, too dark or bleached out with flash.This is the first of a good serious of four videos on YouTube that covers everything I am about to write below…
