It is fine to wear a hoodie to church in most parts of the I got six and a possible sweashirt attire is much more casual these days and many churches are happy to see young people as long as they are not wearing anything really disrespectful. However, assuming you are male, it would be best to remove the hood from your head while in church, just as you would a baseball cap, fedora or any other headgear. In many cultures women cover their heads in church or temple, so having a hood up wouldn’t be too strange. Although most women I know who wear hoodies never put the hoods up except outside, and usually only when it’s cold, raining or snowing. So it would look strange in church.
