This was part of the overall Jazz Fest celebration and Paul McCartney was a headliner at the Dome. I took three tickets. No, this wasn’t a bribe. This guy was a straight A student in English and we were as good friends as teacher and student can be. We genuinely got along great. His dad was a hot shot leading anchor man on the local news station and was given a few dozen tickets to pass out. He gave his son Richard ten or twelve of these to pass out. Three came my way.
