I wish I could slap people through the internet shirt

 Hello all, I’m an upcoming Junior at the University of Maryland, College Park studying computer science and mathematics. I’ve been to Kairos (Gracepoint Church for I wish I could slap people through the internet shirt) ever since the start of college. I came upon this Reddit page and after reading some of what was said about the Church, I’d like to personally share mine. I do not think my experience with Gracepoint is as bad as what other people have mentioned on this subreddit for 2 reasons: 1) I am not a staff member and hence I have never been in trouble with Gracepoint from a leadership and lifestyle point of view and 2) I think most of the staff at the DMV area are very mature and caring people (this is apparently not the case for some other ministries). Most of my criticisms with Kairos/Gracepoint are more so on the lines of it’s a good organization but it could be a lot better. A lot of what I’m about to say will probably be more personal with my experience with Christianity. Hopefully, you guys can point out some of the flaws in my perspective and perhaps provide me with some guidance in regard to life as I am still naive.

I want to first begin and say that I’m not a I wish I could slap people through the internet shirt. I never was one before college and I might have become one for maybe a few months or so until I realized that a lot of Christian apologetics couldn’t prove why the Judeo-Christian God is real, just that you shouldn’t be an atheist (I can explain more of this later). Although I’m not sure if it’s due to Christian values or the Gracepoint lifestyle, I feel like I don’t agree with some Christian values which emphasize sacrificing and doing things for the sake of others which I feel is preventing people from being the best version of themselves (I do think you guys here can convince me otherwise). I’ll now move on to how someone like me joined the Church.

 I am not an influencer. I am not looking for clout. I sat on this for weeks and initially tried to keep this  Precious Moments A Little Grey Hare shirt. I responded to all of this using my personal Instagram account which has less than 300 followers most of which are my friends and family. I am a queer and trans person of color who is tired of being gaslighted. I have had friends and loved ones subjected to deportation violence by the state because they were not allowed to marry directly as a result of the evangelical lobbying that churches like the one Liah Yoo is a member of participated in and still do. I strongly believe that our lived experiences of oppression aren’t here for companies to tokenize and profit off

I have no interest in “cancelling” Liah Yoo or Krave, I just want this hypocrisy and this tokenization to stop and I believe as consumers we have a right to demand  Precious Moments A Little Grey Hare shirt to these very valid concerns. I have no interest in and am not “attacking” her like others have already accused me of. I’m just trying to get her to clarify her stance on an issue that she invited scrutiny on by making her church affiliation public. I believe we should all pressure Liah Yoo and Krave to actually directly address what her personal stance is on LGBTQ+ rights and equality because her actions are definitely not matching up with her brand’s ethos. I posted this in the hopes that I could provide pertinent information/resources to other queer people and allies of the queer community who might not fully understand the context of this situation. I also hope this inspires more of us to put pressure on them and hold them accountable.

I leave the office and walk to a restaurant across the street to meet my date, J. We matched on Mississippi State Bulldogs Logo Campus shirt a few days ago and this is the first time we’re meeting in person. I’m pretty terrible about keeping up text conversations on dating apps so I tend to suggest meeting up pretty quickly if I’m interested. He works close by and we’ve chosen to get appetisers and drinks at the bar. Turns out wine bottles are half price on Wednesday and there’s a pretty large selection, so we pick a mid-price pinot noir and order cheesesteak eggrolls, wings, and fries to share. Conversation flows well and we manage not to talk about our jobs once in the three hours we’re together. We never talked about work in our texts so far either, and this just doesn’t happen in the D.C. area so I’m pretty impressed with us. We split the check and part with a hug and promises to text and get together again soon ($27). I kinda want to go out with him again just to see how long we can go without mentioning our jobs.

I pick up my friend at her house and we head to a Burmese restaurant in Falls Church. C introduced me to this Mississippi State Bulldogs Logo Campus shirt a few years ago and it’s a frequent haunt now. We split the green tea leaf salad because we can’t go to this place without ordering it. She orders a spicy pork belly dish and I get my usual pickled mango chicken. During lunch C tells me about her upcoming travel plans. Her parents are going to Kathmandu soon for a few months. C will be going over as well at the end of December/beginning of January and suggests I go with her for a week or two. I’m super tempted because it would be amazing to go to Nepal in general, but especially with a native who speaks the language, knows her way around, and has a home to stay at so we can save on accommodations. She knows I didn’t plan international travel this year to save money for a long trip next year and it’s hard for me to get much time off at the end of the year, so she’d understand if I immediately say no, but I do say I’ll consider it and I really am. It does remind me that I need to renew my passport though. We split the bill for lunch evenly ($21 including tip)

I want to know if theres a correlation between MBTI/enneagram and astrology. Mostly to try and type my family and maybe some Land Home of the Free Brave American flag shirt .
