Here’s my The pew pew life shirt on the U.S. and why I think infection rates could get very high here. Our whole structure of healthcare is based on selfishness and greed. Insurance companies have been allowed to dominate our price structures such that most people can’t even afford care. If infected: People WILL NOT go to the doctor. They WILL NOT go to the hospital for treatment or to mitigate contamination risk. BECAUSE they either fear their insurance, or they don’t have any and don’t want to be BANKRUPT FOR THE REST OF THEIR LIVES. We are fucked.
