The song was released in 1995 as part of the follow-up soundtrack (Rhythm of the Pride Lands) of the Disney The Lion King Pride Rock Retro Line shirt of The Lion King movie. Basically songs that inspired the movie but didn’t really make it to the film. It was only later used as one of the songs for The Lion King II which was released in 1998. Besides, i think We Are One or Not One Of Us were more of Kovu’s songs
