When I first came to Bali NP had a reputation for black magic and America Flag Jack Daniels wine beach shirt.then I went to NP about 5 years ago with 50 others, all Balinese just three westerners. We did puja in the cave and in 17 temples and travelled around the island in open trucks. It was a rough uncomfortable, inspiring unforgettable journey. The only thing that was modern were the wind turbines. Has no one learned from the development of Kuta and Ubud that these places are fragile and great care needs to be taken.
