The houses were made of various scrap materials. The ground was covered with dirt. The garbage was piled up like a hill. Children were peeing on the street. The air was full of strange things. The stench is overwhelming and many homes here lack electricity, clean water and toilets. I was shocked and felt like I was in a refugee camp in Africa.
