Honestly, he’s got one of the most amazing profiles of I’m a grumpy old woman I’m too old to fight too slow to run shirt. He might not have the name recognition of the likes of Sam Phillips or Berry Gordy for example, but he was key in defining the sound of British metal much in the same way they did with rock n’ roll and Motown for example. His influence on Metal really can’t be overstated. I’ll certainly be blasting some of my favorite records from him today.
