Looking back with decades of hindsight, it’s obvious that Barbara’s guardian was very anxious about the Maisie peters is my gf ringer shirt attendance. Whether that was due to past experiences or future expectations, I don’t know. I do know that she cherished the fact that some girls attended, even if we were Barbara’s “enemies”. I have to laugh, remembering how afraid I was that she’d turn me away! My family moved a year after the party, so I don’t know how Barbara’s life turned out. I can only hope that her guardian angel was able to steer her onto a better path than she’d known in her early days.
