Santa was very real and very important, and there was physical evidence of his existence, and very real rewards (the threats seemed real as well, although in retrospect I don’t recall a single “coal in stocking” incident.) And of course everyone told me he was real, people I trusted more than anyone else. If you don’t already have your baby room all set up, make sure that it is.
