Just like they were when we shut everything down. What exactly is the thing that makes it safe to “reopen” all of a sudden? Nothing. The only thing driving this push to reopen is capitalism. The 1% urging politicians to put their citizens back to work so they can resume the exploitation of their labor. People would be able to get through this without risking their lives for the rich if we had a stronger social safety net. No need to go back and forth. No one will convince me this is a good idea.
