This totally negates the story. Obi-Wan goes to face Vader knowing he’s going to die. There’s no need to have a long, protracted battle with all these crazy bells and whistles. It doesn’t serve the story. Vader is physically damaged, and Obi-Wan is old, weak and tired, and their battle reflects that. It’s fine exactly the way it is.
